BEAULY have been promoted to the Premiership for the first time in their history after defeating Inveraray.

Ryan Mackay sealed their place in the top flight of shinty with a strike in the 93rd minute in a tough clash at Braeview.

The result means Beauly can't finish lower than second and are guaranteed promotion.

Beauly have gone top of the National Division, but their title fate is out of their hands as Skye only require a draw in the final match at Inveraray next weekend to clinch the championship.

However, if Skye lose, Beauly will win the league due to a superior goal difference.
