Caley Thistle ace Tom Walsh is hoping his brace against Cowdenbeath can help secure his place in John Robertson’s starting line-up.

Walsh (22) found the net twice in the space of six minutes on his first competitive start since signing for the club from relegated Dumbarton.

The Highland outfit had to do it the hard way as they came from behind to win, but the winger believes conceding first spurred his side on to improve.

"I was pushing for the hat trick but I’m still buzzing with the double," said Walsh.
