Ross County midfielder Iain Vigurs says he is up for the challenge of breaking back into the Staggies’ first team.

Vigurs missed County’s friendly matches and the first two games in the Betfred Cup group stage with a groin injury, before returning to the managers’ thoughts for last night’s trip to Arbroath.

His lack of action means that he is a step behind his teammates, but Vigurs is looking forward to attempting to force his way into the starting 11 on a regular basis.

"It seems like it’s been forever," Vigurs said.
