The Innes Bar Inverness Winter Darts League is starting to take shape with all the usual suspects vying for a top of the league spot.

In the A League Portland A, Innes Bar C and East End Arrows are still undefeated, while in the B League Castle Street Elite have two wins with British Legion in second place, just a point behind.

It’s the Innes X and Arrowsmiths who lead the way in the C League with two wins each. Portland A whitewashed Innes Power 12-0 as they look to defend their A League title with maximums to Doug Milne, Steve Falconer and Kevin Maclean. Doug Milne had a 100 checkout for the Portland while Paul Clark hit a 180 for the Power.

Playing in Nairn the Innes Bar C had a fine 9-3 victory over Jackos. Innes Bar player Sandy Morrison had 14 and 15 dart legs while his team-mates Davy Grant and Kevin MacGregor both hit maximums.

Michael Maclean hit two 180’s for Jackos.

Still Game travelled to Muir of Ord to take on the Tarradale and returned with the points in a close 7-5 win. Maximums came from Dave McGruer and Gary Gunn from Tarradale and Andy Leckie and Ally McGinely from Still Game. McGinely also had a 15 dart leg and David Fraser notched a 177 for Tarradale.

East End Arrows continued to challenge at the top of the league and their 8-4 win over Battlefield Bullies keeps them in a three way tie at the top of the division. Alan Fraser and Colin Fraser hit 180’s for the Arrows with Steve McIntyre and John Duncanson hit maximums for the Bullies. McIntyre also hit a 15 dart leg. Castle Street Elite are the early pace-setters in the B League and after an 8-4 win over 147 Buddies they remain unbeaten at the top of the league.

Daniel Mullen and Jack Kennedy had checkouts of 106 and 102 respectively for the Castle Street side.

British Legion and Blacksmiths shared the points in their 6-6 match with maximums from Del Farrell of Blacksmiths and Legion duo David Stuart and Graeme Ross.

Innes Bar bounced back after last week’s defeat with a whopping 11-1 win over Thistle Inn with Simon Gow and Andy McMahon hitting maximums for them and Craig Williamson

getting a 171. Robert Robson hit a 180 for the Thistle.

It’s Innes X at the top of the C League and they took their second win with a 9-3 victory over

newcomers SoBar Pirates.

Arrowsmiths keep the pressure on the Innes side with a 7-5 victory over 3 Scots and Canteen gain their first points courtesy of a 9-3 win at home to Blazin 81 with Graham Buchan hitting a 180 for the Nairn side.

Keppoch Belles took an 8-4 away win as they visited Raigmore Motel, keeping things very close in this division.
