GLENURQUHART are facing a hefty bill after the MacAulay Cup, the trophy they won at the weekend, was damaged in the post-match celebrations.

The Glen defeated Oban Camanachd 6-0 on Saturday to win the trophy - the first national cup they have won in their 127-year history.

In the celebrations that followed, however, the trophy was damaged, leaving MacAulay Camanachd Association secretary David Hamilton "disappointed".

The cup had previously underwent around £700 worth of work before the final, but now more repairs are required.

Hamilton is now awaiting the return of trophy to assess the damage it incurred over the weekend.

Glenurquhart have already stated they will pay for the repairs that are required.
