Inverness Caledonian Thistle make Falkirk defender Toshney first recruit of January transfer window

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed the signing of defender Lewis Toshney on an 18-month contract.

The former Celtic, Kilmarnock and Ross County player becomes manager John Robertson's first signing of the January transfer window.

Toshney was most recently at Falkirk, where he made 12 appearances in the first half of this season as The Bairns attempted to bounce back from relegation to League One.

As a youngster, the 27-year-old played for Scotland's age groups, making five appearances for the national under-21s side.
