Newtonmore had the perfect preparation for the Camanach Cup by beating Kinlochshiel 2-0.

Newtonmore and Lovat both gave themselves timely boosts ahead of Saturday’s Camanachd Cup final through impressive Premiership wins.

Newtonmore defeated 2017 champions Kinlochshiel 2-0 to edge closer to regaining the title that `Shiel wrestled from their grasp and brought to an end the Badenoch side’s seven year dominance.

Drew MacDonald broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute, and Glen MacKintosh made no mistake from the spot to wrap up the points.

Lovat’s forwards showed their prowess in front of goal with a convincing 7-2 win over Caberfeidh at Castle Leod.
