The Inverness Caledonian Thistle Supporters Trust have released the results of a survey asking for fans to give their experience on matchdays at the Caledonian Stadium.

Survey asked for fans on their experience at the Caledonian Stadium.
Survey asked for fans on their experience at the Caledonian Stadium.

The survey, which was conducted with the backing of the club, received feedback from 316 supporters giving their views on what they liked and didn't like at the stadium on matchdays.

It revealed positive feedback on matchdays which included personal safety inside and outside the stadium, digital ticket access and club shop experience.

The trust also received negative feedback which included communication with the club, specifically unanswered complaints and queries.

There was also negative feedback regarding the atmosphere which included the PA system and the West Stand Roof Project.

Experience for disabled fans and the stadium car park were also highlighted as areas which required improvement.

ICT Supporters Trust chairwoman Jennifer Aitchison says they will look to work closely with the club to improve the matchday experience for fans.

She said: "This survey was open to any supporter of the club to complete with 316 supporters choosing to share their views with the Supporters Trust, giving real validity to the findings.

Given the representative number completing the survey, there is a strong sense of feeling that these viewpoints will also be commonly held across the wider fan base.

This report is simply about sharing the survey feedback, both positive and negative on what the current fan experience is.

"It is not about apportioning blame, nor is it about providing solutions on how to address the various issues.

"Whilst the onus for driving improvement must lie with the club, the supporters have a responsibility here too.

"Togetherness is a motto that the club likes to use, and we will need to use a sense of togetherness to work collaboratively to address the concerns raised in this report.

"The Supporters Trust must have a key role here, but the Supporters Trust is only what the supporters make it to be.

"If the supporters don’t support the Supporters Trust, then the Supporters Trust can’t give the level of input to the club and the club would like.

"Within the ICT family there are fans with a wide range of talent and expertise. We need to capitalise on that and bring those skills and that knowledge into the working groups set up to tackle specific issues. Togetherness in action.

"This survey highlights areas that the Supporters Trust believe are gold dust to the club and to us as the fans organisation by spotlighting areas where the club operates well and areas for improvements can be made to enhance the fan experience."

She added: "We have some great feedback and analysis from this survey, from dedicated supporters. Through communication, collaboration, and action this can enhance the football experience."

The ICT Supporters Trust have also launched a new forum which can be viewed by clicking here.
