NIKOLAY Todorov says Inverness Caledonian Thistle have to rise up to the challenge of playing 12 matches in the space of almost six weeks.
Inverness are in the middle of tackling the fixture backlog due to postponements in December and January caused by extreme weather and Covid-19.
Inverness are in poor form in the Championship, having only won one of their last 10 games.
But they remain within five points of the play-off zone.
Todorov says it is a tough challenge playing so many games in such a short space of time, but they have to improve.
“It has been a really busy schedule playing Tuesday and Saturday every week, it has been madness,” he said.
“But we are aiming for the play-offs but we have to see where it takes us.
“You can always put things right on a Saturday or Tuesday.
“But we have to keep our consistency and momentum and that is why it was disappointing not to get something at Dundee and get three points.”
Despite getting on the scoresheet, Todorov was disappointed with the team’s performance at Dens Park on Tuesday night.
The forward says they are looking for a reaction against Alloa Athletic tomorrow at Recreation Park.
“We are going back to the training ground and then hopefully put it right on Saturday,” he said.
“It is always hard to see your team losing and trying to go out and make a difference.
“But it doesn’t matter if I start, or if I come on, I am always ready and will be happy if I have applied myself.
“However, it wasn’t enough. I had a chance at the end and I am disappointed that I missed it. We now have to make sure we put this right.
“We have a target of reaching the play-offs and we are looking to reach it. But we have to focus on taking it game by game.”
