NIKOLAY Todorov was forced off injured after giving Caley Thistle the lead who in the end suffered defeat at East End Park.

It took Caley Thistle only 88 seconds to take the lead when Daniel MacKay’s cross from the right wing found the Bulgarian striker who from eight yards fired past Owain Fon Williams.

But the striker’s game was to only last 15 minutes after he clashed with Euan Murray after both players challenged for the ball.

He originally returned to action but collapsed seconds later and he was forced to come off and replaced with James Vincent.

Dunfermline equalised midway through the first half when Murray leaped above the Inverness defence and nodded the ball past Ridgers from eight yards.

Dunfermline went in front midway through the second half when Mark Ridgers’ save from Declan McManus shot from close range fell to Ryan Dow who was on hand to fire in the rebound.

McManus wrapped up all three points for the hosts seven minutes from time when his shot from the edge of the box took a deflection off Robbie Deas and flew past Ridgers into the back of the net.
