Management put the plea out on social media today after reporting the 13th and 14th hole had been targeted by members of the public.

A statement from the golf club says they are risking damaging the course by sledging and skiing.

They said: "The Nairn Golf Club is aware that everyone wishes to lift lock-down spirits and go out and enjoy the snow conditions.

"However, can we please refrain from sledging or skiing over our golf course.

"Over the past two days the 13th and 14th holes have been targeted, if this continues we run the risk of damage to the turf underneath ahead of a very busy 2021 season.

"Please be respectful of our grass surfaces and all the hard work that our team put in to maintain such a high standard."
