Highland Stags through to British American Football Association play-off semi final after scheduled opponents Staffordshire Surge forfeit last-eight tie in Invergordon
The Highland Stags are through to the semi final of the BAFA play-offs without stepping on to the pitch.
They had been due to host the Staffordshire Surge in Invergordon this Sunday in a quarter final tie, but due to logistical issues the English outfit will not fulfil the tie.
After winning all eight of their regular season games, and having the best defensive record of any side with a 100 per cent record, the Stags became top seeds from the northern half of Division Two sides from across the UK.
That meant they earned the right to play both their quarter final and semi final matches at home, giving them a big advantage as they attempted to make the final.
With the Surge forfeiting, the Stags will now await the winner of the match between Scunthorpe Alphas and Darlington Steam in the semi final.
