Former Carnoustie Golf Links Head PGA Professional Colin Sinclair has been appointed chief executive at the course.

Inverness born Sinclair was in charge at Carnoustie for 20 years before deciding to make the move back north.

Speaking about his appointment, he says he has big plans for The Nairn Golf Club.

“I am delighted to be in Nairn and whilst I enjoyed my time at Carnoustie I had taken my role there as far as I could and I was keen to get involved in a private members’ club.”

“Nairn Golf Club has a great core product, it is amazing.

“However, like any business, the club faces challenges and I hope that I and our team will be able to take the course and members forward in a positive way."

Sinclair says he is looking to implement a range of new initiatives including a golf development program for juniors, women, families, seniors and disability golf.

It is also planned to organise exchange trips with overseas golf clubs.
