GLENGARRY lifted the Single Team Club Cup for the first time in their history as they defeated Kilmory in the final at Fort William.

Raymond Robertson gave Glengarry the lead eight minutes before half time to give the North Division One club a 1-0 lead at the break.

Shaun Nicolson doubled their advantage immediately from the throw-up at the start of the second half before Robertson grabbed a second three minutes later to give the Invergarry outfit victory over the South Division Two leaders.

Glengarry manager Scott Bremner says it was terrific performance from his team to lift the title at An Aird.

He said: "Right from the start to the finish we dominated the game.

"They (Kilmory) for 10 to 15 minutes were really competitive and that is what we expected.

"But once we got the goal, we held our own very well.

"It is a slightly different atmosphere from last year so we are delighted for all the boys, all the committee and the sponsors."

The Single Team Club Cup was only established in 2022 for teams which did not have a reserve team which played in the regional leagues.

Col Glen won the first tournament last year when they defeated Glengarry 2-1 in the final.
