GLENGARRY manager Scott Bremner will be looking to put the pain of defeat in last year’s final behind them as they aim to lift the Single Team Cup by beating Kilmory on Saturday.

Glengarry face Kilmory in the Single Team Cup final tomorrow.

The North Division One outfit travel to An Aird in Fort William to take on the South Division Two leaders as both teams aim to lift the trophy for the first time in their history.

The Invergarry club fell at the final hurdle last year losing 2-1 to Col Glen, who went on to win South Division One and are now comfortably avoiding relegation in the National Division.

Bremner says they are looking to put the disappointment of last year’s final behind them and head back home with the silverware in their possession tomorrow afternoon.

“This is a game that everyone has been looking forward to for a while,” said Bremner.

“We are looking to put defeat in last year’s final behind us and go into the game with a fresh outlook.

“However facing Kilmory, there is the north versus south element to the game as we do not know a great deal about them.

“They have been scoring goals for fun in their division, but I don’t know how much you can read into that.”

Glengarry’s hopes of winning North Division One and promotion to the National Division appear to over this season.

Despite a promising start to the campaign, a loss of form has seen them drop to fourth place in the league table.

Bremner says the Single Team Cup now represents their best chance of silverware this season.

“Winning the Single Team Cup would mean a lot to the club and community, it has been a while since we won a competition and we now don’t have to play much for in the league.

“We will have a strong team, including introducing players who have been injured for weeks slowly.

"But if we can’t win it with this team then we won’t deserve to win it.”

Elsewhere, Lovat will be looking to book their place in the Camanachd Cup semi final when they head to Kyles Athletic on Saturday.

The match was postponed last weekend due to a bereavement and has been rescheduled for Saturday at Tighnabruaich.

The winners will face a semi final clash against Oban Camanachd next month.

Holders Kingussie will take on Kinlochshiel in the other semi final in August.

Four games take place in the Premiership this weekend.

A bottom of the table clash takes place at Yoker as Beauly will look for a vital two points against Glasgow Mid-Argyll who have yet to avoid defeat in the league this season.

After a promising start to the campaign, Beauly have experienced a loss of form and are now in ninth place, one point behind Kyles Athletic in eighth.

A win will see Beauly jump out of the relegation zone.

Caberfeidh will also be desperate for victory when they take on Oban Camanachd at Mossfield Park tomorrow afternoon.

The Strathpeffer outfit are in seventh place in the Premiership.

But they only two points above the relegation zone and currently have the same goal difference as Beauly.

League leaders Kingussie can strengthen their title defence with a win over Skye at The Dell with Newtonmore heading to Kinlochshiel.

In the National Division, league leaders Glenurquhart are not in action and could be replaced at the top if Lochaber beat Inveraray.

Bottom of the table Strathglass could move off the bottom of the table if they win at Kilmallie and if Col Glen can avoid defeat against Oban Celtic.

In North Division One, Newtonmore will aim to stay clear at the top when they travel to Skye.

Beauly are set to welcome Inverness to Braeview, Kingussie face Kinlochshiel with Skye set to take on Fort William.

Two games are taking place in North Division Two as Aberdeen University are scheduled to face Inverness and Boleskine will take on Strathglass.
