Shinty clubs make final preparations for new season

The 2019 Mowi League season throws up on Saturday as clubs prepare for their first competitive matches with their final pre-season fixtures.

Lovat’s new pavilion at Balgate was officially opened on Saturday and local rivals Beauly were invited to provide the opposition for the occasion.

The Premiership side proved too strong for their National Division neighbours and cruised to a 5–0 win.

On target for a rampant Lovat were Lorne MacKay with a double, Greg Matheson, Lewis Tawse and Graeme MacMillan.
