Elgin City win will be confidence boost ahead of Highland League for Clachnacuddin

Clachnacuddin manager Brian Macleod says their 4–3 victory over Elgin City has given him confidence they can start well in the Highland League.

The Lilywhites started off in ruthless fashion scoring three goals in the first five minutes on Tuesday.

Macleod said it was a big result to defeat higher league opposition.

“I was actually more pleased with the performance than the scoreline.

“We showed positive encouraging signs ahead of the new league season.

“It was good to get the win, but during pre-season it is more about the performance.

“I said to the guys before the match if we can take the things we have been working on into games we will do well.”
