Going the extra mile in his bid to become a world champion, an Alness teenager is determined to do all he can to realise his ambition.

Scott Campbell is heading to the World Kickboxing Championships in Italy and Spain in October but needs to raise £2500 to compete.

The 14-year-old took several thousand steps closer to his dream when he walked from his house in Alness to the Raijin Martial Arts Centre in Inverness where he trains.

Raising £400 to move closer to his required total he said it was a hard challenge walking such a long distance in sweltering conditions.
