Inverness Craig Dunain Rugby Club's women's team have seen their league season come to an abrupt end.

They were supposed to have one more match to play in the Women's North League, against Peterhead this Saturday, but the Aberdeenshire club have had to forfeit after being unable to raise a team.

It is the second game in-a-row cancelled after last weekend's postponement against Fraserburgh.

Craig Dunain currently sit in second place in the table, but could still be overtaken by Aberdeenshire depending on the final results of the campaign.

Now, ICD's focus will turn towards the National Shield and any other friendly matches that can be arranged before the summer.
