HEAD coach Dave Carson says Highland are fully focussed on maintaining their 100 per cent record in National One with victory at Glasgow Hutchesons’ Aloysians tomorrow.

The Inverness club have got their title challenge off to a perfect start with two bonus point victories against Dundee and Watsonians which has moved them to the top of the table.

Last weekend, Highland were in ruthless form as they ran riot in a 41-0 victory against Watsonians at Canal Park.

Despite scoring seven tries, Carson was more thrilled that his defence did not concede any points in their win in Inverness last week.

Carson says his team are looking to carry on their momentum in Glasgow.

But he says they arguably face their toughest challenge of the campaign so far against GHA.

Carson said: “GHA have come down from the Premiership after getting relegated last season and they have a point to prove.

“I can imagine they will have a big pack up front, but I don’t know too much about them.

“We will watch videos on them and see what they are all about and go down there with confidence.

“Everyone is buying into the way we are playing, so if we keep doing what we have done we should do well.”

Carson was keen to play down any title challenge at such an early stage.

But he admitted it has been a great start for Highland which gives him a lot of confidence they could be in for a successful campaign.

He said: “Watsonians put 60 points past Gala and they must have come up to Inverness thinking they could do a job.

“We have played Watsonians in the last few years but never had a result as emphatic as a 41-0 win. We are getting our offload game going and had a number of fantastic breaks in our matches. The boys are playing well so I am delighted with how things are going.”
