Scott High has left Ross County, the club has confirmed.

The 22-year-old midfielder had joined the Staggies on loan from Huddersfield last summer, but only played a total of 24 minutes across two substitute appearances against Motherwell and Celtic.

Having featured so rarely, it is no surprise that the Scotland under-21 international has returned south of the border.

"Scott's loan has been ended prematurely due to injury and he goes with the best wishes of everyone at the club," a Ross County statement read.
