Ross County face Elgin in Challenge Cup

ROSS County have been drawn against Elgin City in the first round of the new-look Challenge Cup.

The competition will now be known as the Ramsdens Cup following a sponsorship agreement between the Scottish Football League and the independently owned pawnbroking and financial services business.

County lifted the trophy in April this year after a 2-0 victory at McDiarmid Park, Perth, over Queen of the South.

The tie is scheduled to take place at Victoria Park on Saturday 23rd July.

The full draw for the first round of the Ramsdens Cup is as follows:

North/East section: Arbroath v Dundee; Brechin City v Falkirk; Deveronvale v Stirling Albion; Forfar v Buckie; Montrose v East Fife; Peterhead v Alloa; Raith Rovers v Cowdenbeath; Ross County v Elgin City.

South/West section: Airdrie United v Livingston; Albion Rovers v Annan; Ayr United v Queen of the South; Clyde v Berwick Rangers; Dumbarton v East Stirling; Partick Thistle v Stenhousemuir; Queen's Park v Hamilton Accies; Stranraer v Morton.
