Manager questions Inverness Caledonian Thistle big-match mindset

JOHN Robertson is questioning Caley Thistle’s “big-game mentality” after defeat to Dundee United continued a damaging Championship trend.

This season’s second beating by the title favourites mirrored past failures against Ross County and St Mirren, champions in the previous two seasons.

The Inverness manager knows his team must break the pattern this season realise their promotion aspiration.

United have now won all of the last five clashes with Caley Thistle while, in the past two campaigns, County and Saints went undefeated through all eight games against them.

He said: “Analyse our big matches over the last three years and we’ve simply not won enough of them."
