In a repeat of the 2019 final they lifted the trophy with a 7–3 victory over East End Arrows.

In the final, Portland A took a 5–3 lead after the singles into the pairs, where they won the opening two matches.

Player of the match was Portland’s James Fraser with a 180, a 160 checkout and a 15 dart leg to win his match.

Whilst Marc Henderson also hit a maximum for the Arrows.

Meanwhile at the Keppoch Bar the semi-finals of the Consolation Trophy were also taking place.

The first team through to next week’s final were the C League champions, Raigmore as they defeated Innes X in an impressive 8–4 victory.

They were to be joined by Still Game, from the A League, who had a 10–2 win over Nairn side Canteen.

Canteen’s Craig Chisholm hit the only 180 in this competition.

But top checkouts came from Tommy Macdonald (Still Game) 155, Wayne Ridgers (Innes X) 122, John Clark (Raigmore) 111, Stuart Pearce (Canteen) 101.

Thursday action is at Raigmore Motel, as the blue riband event in the Winter Championship, the Inverness Singles, takes place starting at 8pm.

Due to the pandemic the tournament has been in abeyance for two seasons and the defending champion is David McGruer from Muir of Ord outfit Tarradale.
