Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed the loan signing of Rangers starlet Kai Kennedy until January.

The 18-year-old made his senior debut at Ibrox in a Scottish Cup match in January against Stranraer, coming off the bench to replace Joe Aribo in a 2–0 win.

Kennedy is in the Scotland under-19s squad for their double header against England on Wednesday and next Sunday, so will miss Caley Thistle's opening match of the Betfred Cup at Hearts, but will join up with the squad in time for their group game at home against Cowdenbeath.

Diminutive winger Kennedy's last competitive appearance actually came in Inverness in the 2019/20 Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup semi final, playing all 90 minutes for Rangers Colts as ICT triumphed 2–1.

With the final still to be played, he could be in line to claim a winners' medal after all – although the 2020/21 version of the competition has been cancelled .
