This year's Snowman Rally is set to have a very strong entry list.

HIGHLAND Car Club’s premiere event — the Arnold Clark Thistle Snowman Rally, supported by Highland Office Equipment — will once again mark the opening of this year’s Scottish Rally Championship.

Entries are now being received by the organisers, who this year have put together a very compact route consisting of 44 stage miles and a road mileage of 100 miles.

Current Scottish and British Rally champion David Bogie, Scottish runner-up Ewan Thorburn and Mike Faulkner, who was third in the championship last year, are set to return, while there has been a strong local support so far with entries from Donnie Macdonald, Dougal Brown and John Morrison.

The weekend will start on Friday 17th February with the scruntineering at Arnold Clark Peugeot on Harbour Road with rally HQ at the Thistle Hotel, Millburn Road..

The Rally will start at the Thistle Hotel the following day with the first car departing at 9am. Crews will then head to the forests south of Inverness and then towards the Black Isle Showground for central service before taking on some new stages.
