Portland power on to stay in front in Inverness Darts League

Portland A continued their champion’s run in the Inverness Winter Darts A League with a 10–2 win over Innes Power.

Steve Falconer and Chris Birrell hit maximums for Portland with Birrell also checking out on 105.

Steve McCluskey hit a 180 for the Power and his team-mate Bruce MacDonald checked out on 114.

Innes Bar C were given a walkover 12-0 by Jackos who have incurred a fine for non-attendance.

East End Arrows and Battlefield Bullies have had many close tussles over the years and this week was no different as the side shared the points in a 6-6 match.

Nigel McEwan hit a 180 for the Arrows, Fach MacDonald hit a 180 for the Bullies and Niall Urquhart had a 177 for the Arrows.

Still Game travelled to the Muir to take on Tarradale and returned with all the points after an 8-4 victory.

Star of the show was teen star Baxter Mackintosh, newly signed for Tarradale, who notched a 180 and a 110 checkout. His team-mates Gary Gunn and Ali Ross also hit maximums for the Muir side while Steven Davidson hit a 180 for Still Game.

With Innes Spikeys idle this week Castle Street Elite took their chance to draw level at the top of the B League after a 9-3 win over 147 Buddies.

Blacksmiths defeated British Legion 10-2 with Legion’s Gary Chisholm checking on 103.

Innes Bar had a 9-3 win over Thistle Inn and Steve Grant had a 115 finish for the winning side.

Canteen maintained their lead at the top of the C League with a 10-2 win over Blazin 81.

Arrowsmiths drop down to second place after losing 8-4 against a resurgent 3 Scots although Norman MacDonald had the consolation of a 105 checkout for the Smiths.

Innes X defeated SoBar Pirates 10-2 and Gav Box notched a 174 for the Innes side.

Raigmore defeated Keppoch Belles 9-3 but the Belles stay ahead of SoBar Pirates and

Blazin 81 at the foot of the table.
