Polworth looking forward to new experience at Hampden
LIAM Polworth has experienced Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s best moments at Hampden, but only from the substitutes’ bench.
However, he is expected to take a leading role in midfield as they look to defeat Hearts in the Scottish Cup semi final.
The 24-year-old was an unused substitute in the famous 2-1 victory over Falkirk in the final back in 2015 and in the 3-2 semi final win against Celtic one month previously.
However, he was only 21 years old playing for a Premiership club that season. He has since gone on to become a vital part of the team.
Polworth accepted due to his age and inexperience why he was on the bench in 2015 but says that will make tomorrow all the more special for him.
