Highland Rugby Club brought its centenary year celebrations to a close with a Christmas party at Canal Park.
Players from across the age groups and senior squads, directors and families all came together to round off 2022 after the club’s final matches of the calendar year were all postponed due to the inclement weather.
Centenary celebrations began back in January, when then city Provost Helen Carmichael and members of the city of Inverness area committee hosted a civic reception at Inverness Town House.
In February, the club then distributed 100 food hampers to the elderly and homeless in and around Inverness, following that up with 100 good deeds for the same communities in March.
Other highlights of the celebrations across the year included the inaugural North of Scotland Sevens tournament in early June, an exhibition on the club at Inverness Museum and the first professional match to take place in Inverness for over 20 years when the Glasgow Warriors travelled north to play a pre-season friendly.
Highland have also launched a commemorative book to mark and remember their first 100 years, which is available to buy from the club shop.
