In the girls competition, Mischa Allen, Lexie Macleod and Hannah Roberts lifted brilliantly to win their categories.
There was also success in the boys competition as Patrick Johnson and Callum Low both won their categories and claimed gold medals.
Head coach of Highland Weightlifting Nicky Grant said it was a tremendous performance from all five of the club’s athletes to return back to Inverness with gold medals from their respective categories at the championships.
She said: “This success adds to a long list of national success for HWC, we are especially proud of our younger lifters who work extremely hard and are an inspiration to everyone associated with the sport.”
It has also been confirmed that Highland Weightlifting Club has been selected by Weightlifting Scotland to host the Northern District Weightlifting Championships on July 20.
It will be the third year that event has come to the Highlands since Highland Weightlifting Club held its inaugural event in 2022.
Grant said it promises to be a great competition.
“Highland Weightlifting Club is looking forward to welcoming our friends form local clubs and athletes from clubs across the region to enjoy what will be a great day at Inverness Leisure Centre.”
