PICTURES – Hundred players set to ace it at Bellfield Open in Inverness

Bellfield Park Tennis Club is set for a smashing summer with a major competition set to make a racket next week.

The Bellfield Open starts on Monday, where almost 100 players will be competing in matches across the entire week.

It is the first event like this to be staged at the club for many years, with organisers hoping to make it an annual event.

Matches will take place from Monday to Saturday with players ranging from under eight to senior level.

Bellfield Park then start five weeks of summer camps which take place from Monday, July 5 to Monday, August 2. As well as tennis, other sports like football and unihoc will be played.

The club are also offering adult coaching classes, which have been very popular in the run-up to summer in the past.

This year the club will be organising adult coaching classes continuing throughout the holidays, which will start on July 5 and continue through the holidays.

The tennis club is keen to continue developing the sport after the summer season too, with weekly coaching for all ages and abilities starting from Monday, August 16.

The club also offer individual training through its coaching team to help improve player skills.
