Parkrun continues to go the extra mile

It has become a weekly event in Inverness which has just kept running and running for the last seven years.

And it looks like there is no signs of it slowing down as Inverness Parkrun celebrated its 350th event last weekend.

The event has become a phenomenon across the UK where joggers meet up at local parks every Saturday morning to run together in an initiative designed for people to keep fit.

In recent events, the Inverness Parkrun has regularly seen more than 200 people run 5km at venues such as Bught Park and Whin Park in the city.
