The 32 clubs voted 19-13 in favour of declaring the season null and void as opposed to finishing the season by the standings in the league as of Saturday, March 7.

North Super League leaders Banks O'Dee had won all 16 games and were 14 points ahead of second place when football was suspended.

Nairn St Ninian, the only Highland team in north junior football, were in fourth place in the Super League when play was frozen.

Saints club captain Keith Mason will take over as manager from Mike Hendry next season.

In this week's Inverness Courier, Mason announced he is looking to challenge for the North Super League title and if a tier six north is implemented, challenge for promotion to the Highland League within the next three seasons.

No plans have been announced for the start of the 2020/21 season.
