North against south in shinty showdown

Kinlochshiel player Duncan Matheson is the only Ross-shire shinty player to be called up to the North under-17 squad to face the South in the Camanachd Association Inter District Under-17 Cup at Fort William on Sunday.

Two players from the Inverness area, Cameron MacIntosh from Glenurquhart and Thomas Maclean from Strathglass have also been called up to the squad.

Throw-up is at 2pm. Before that the under-14 Fraser MacPhee Memorial Cup will take place at noon.

Representing Ross-shire for the north will be Finlay Coleman from Caberfeidh along with Aaron McBeth, Maree MacKenzie, Archie MacRae from Kinlochshiel.

Euan MacCormack and Finlay MacLennan from Beauly will represent Inverness-shire.
