NEWTONMORE will be confirmed as Orion Group Premiership champions if they can take at least a point from their final fixture of the season against Inveraray at The Winterton on Saturday.

If ’More lose, Lovat can go level on points should they win their outstanding game at home to Kingussie, with goal difference determining who is crowned champions.

Irrespective of the outcome, Inveraray will finish sixth in the table, so pride is all they have to play for.

However, the Argyll side will want to finish their season on a high note and are likely to make ’More work hard for the result they need to wrap up a fifth successive title.

When the teams met at The Eilan in mid-March, Newtonmore picked up the points in a 2-0 win.

Lochaber conclude their season at Tighnabruaich against Kyles Athletic where the visitors have it all to play for, needing a victory to give themselves a chance of avoiding relegation.

Should basement side Lochaber secure a victory, the Spean Bridge men would move level on points with Kinlochshiel, who have one further match to play at home to Kyles at the end of the month.

Even if Lochaber manage a win, Kinlochshiel have the cushion a goal difference which is seven better than Lochaber’s.

Fort William are odds-on favourites to set up a grand finale to the Marine Harvest National Division One campaign by winning against already relegated Bute at An Aird.

Fort would then top the table by a single point over Oban Camanachd with these teams meeting in the final match of the season at Mossfield Park in a title decider.

In Marine Harvest North Division One, Glenurquhart reserves will be targeting a win against their Newtonmore counterparts at Blairbeg Park to go level on points with their second-placed opponents.

Skye, in their third last league fixture, will aim to keep their maximum points tally intact and should maintain this at Kingussie reserves’ expense when the teams meet in Portree.

The Strathdearn Plate final takes place at Balgate with Lovat reserves having home advantage for their derby clash with Beauly’s second team.
