The 19-year-old striker arrived at the Caledonian Stadium to sign a two-year deal at Inverness today.

He is expected to make his first appearance for Caley Thistle against Nairn County at Station Park in a friendly on Tuesday night.

Brooks starred for Celtic B team last season, hitting 13 goals in the Lowland League.

He also featured for Celtic in the UEFA Youth League last season, netting goals against Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Brooks also scored a double in the Glasgow Cup Final this year against Rangers, which Celtic won 4-3 on penalties.

He has featured for Scotland at U16, U17 and U19 level.

Brooks says he is ready to play first team football at a higher level and is looking forward to the opportunity with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Asked why he chose to sign for Inverness, he said: "Obviously speaking to Billy and saying this could be a pathway for a first team opportunity, to just get away and play football and hopefully take my career to the next level.

"I see this as a challenge, having a challenge like this is good for me and I can't wait to hopefully go on and excel.

"It was clear to see when I spoke to Billy the ambition this year is to get up.

"After watching the game today I have the belief that we can go up. Hopefully I will be part of that.

"I enjoyed last year with Celtic B, I picked up some confidence and felt that it was the time to go and push on to another level and see if I could kick on from there."

Playing for Scotland at under-19 level, Brooks hopes he will get the chance to represent his country in other age groups, including under-21 level, while at Inverness.

"That is another ambition I have to play for the national team as quickly as I possibly could.

"This is definitely a level that can prove to the manager that I can get chosen."

Brooks hopes to make an appearance for Inverness at Nairn on Tuesday night.

He feels with manager Billy Dodds being a former striker, he is the right person to bring his game on as a forward.

"Billy was an unbelievable player and this is a chance to learn from the best.

" I can't wait to see what he is like in training and what he can bring to my game."
