New Inverness club aim to hit a home run with training

A determined local man is hoping his new baseball team doesn’t strike out ahead of its first training session.

Kyle Richmond, a long-time fan of the sport, has made the decision to start a team in the Highland capital after discovering that the next closest is based in Aberdeen.

With support from Baseball Scotland, the sport’s governing body, Richmond is now set to host Baseball Inverness’s first training session on Sunday.

"I’ve always had an interest in the sport and I’ve watched it for years, but I’ve never had the chance to play," he said.
