Winning a national final for the first time in their history, Ross Sutherland RFC hopes their famous victory can help inspire a new generation to take up the sport in Sutherland and Ross-shire.

They defied the odds to win the National Bowl Final with a 12-3 victory over Wigtownshire at BT Murrayfield on Saturday.

It was the greatest ever result for the Invergordon outfit who put in an outstanding performance at the home of Scottish rugby.

Now try scoring hero Mackay hopes their victory will help boost the game in the area which will lead to further success in the future.
