Nairn teenager reaches quarter final of Amateur Championship

Nairn teenager Calum Scott has reached the quarter finals of the Amateur Championship after winning both his last 32 and last 16 encounters today.

He required the 19th hole to beat Hylnur Bergsson from Iceland in the last 32 and Harley Smith from England in the last 16 to reach the quarter finals of the competition at Nairn Golf Club.

He will meet James Ashfield of Wales in the last eight with the match set to tee off at 8:30am.
