The 18-year-old who is ranked 106th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking will be backed by the housebuilding firm until September 2025.

Scott moved to the United States in 2021 to undertake a golf scholarship at Texas Tech University where he is majoring in Sports Management.

He returned to Scotland over the summer to compete in a number of tournaments, including the Hero Open 2022 where he was one of just five amateurs invited to take part.

Forming part of the DP World Tour and hosted at Fairmont St Andrews from 28-31 July, the Hero Open 2022 was Calum’s first experience of competing at a professional level.

Scott placed 113th in the tournament finishing two under par, achieving nine birdies and came ninth place in driving distance statistics.

“It was a real privilege to return back to Scotland, the home of golf, to play my first professional competition.

"The Hero Open 2022 was a fantastic experience and provided me with my first taste of playing at this level.

"I’m grateful to Springfield Properties for their ongoing support, both on and off the pitch.”

Springfield Properties chief executive Innes Smith said: “A big part of the Springfield ethos is giving back, and we pride ourselves on supporting young people as they work to achieve their goals.

“Having followed Calum’s journey over the past few years, we were proud to watch him play in the Hero Open 2022.

We look forward to supporting Calum’s career for years to come, as he develops and hones his talent.”
