Nairn County forward Steven Mackay hit a double to sink Fort William.

NAIRN County finished fifth in the Highland League after Tuesday’s 3-1 win at Fort William, which saw the hosts finish bottom of the pack.

Both sides had chances in the first half, but Robbie Duncanson shot Nairn ahead just after the break.

Steven Mackay pounced on 65 minutes to give Les Fridge’s team breathing space, but Fort’s Sean Grant struck from the spot to make it 2-1.

The Fosters League Cup winners rounded off the scoring Mackay netted a penalty after Gavin Smith was impeded in the box.
