Nairn County take on Lossiemouth at Station Park on Saturday and it will be followed by a trip to Fraserburgh on April 9 before their final game of the season hosting Turriff United on April 16.

Last weekend, Nairn County suffered a disappointing 1–0 defeat at home to Formartine United with Jonathan Smith scoring the winner nine minutes from time.

Nairn remain in the top half of the table in ninth place, but Sharp says he is no longer concerned about position in the table.

He admits his thoughts are turning to next season and ensuring he has a stronger squad than this campaign which has been blighted by injury.

“Position doesn’t make much difference to us now, but we are still going out to win the game.

“We are looking to blood some of the younger boys into these games and see what they can do.

“We are looking at games where we can give boys a chance and give me something to think about.

“I’m also to get players back to full fitness for the start of next season and get injured boys back into the squad.”

Nairn County suffered a double injury blow against Formartine United last Saturday with Angus Dey and Cohen Ramsay both picking up knocks.

The match at Station Park was delayed for 90 minutes after Formartine United experienced travel issues.

Sharp was pleased that the match could go ahead and despite the result, was still pleased with the level of performance his team produced.

“We talked to the boys about it and they were still keen to play the game on Saturday instead of playing the match on a Wednesday,” he said.

“The overall performance was good, but we struggled in the last third.

“We had a lot of possession and the build up play was good but up front we were short.”
