Nairn County sign Elgin City duo Kenny MacInnes and Ben Barron
NAIRN County have completed the permanent signing of Kenny MacIness and the loan signing of Ben Barron from Elgin City.
Both players live in Nairn – with central midfielder MacInnes (20) having spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Station Park. In total he turned out 24 times for City.
Barron (19) moves on a temporary deal until the end of the campaign. He joined Elgin from Forres Mechanics in summer but has struggled to nail down the number nine spot.
Manager Steven Mackay said: "Ben is a player who I have admired for quite some time now.
"I like the way he plays the game. He is strong, athletic and is hungry to score goals. He is also a local boy and I have no doubts that he will become a fans' favourite.
"Hopefully, he will get the game time that he needs with us and we can support him with his development."
"Kenny was on loan with us last season and is familiar with the club and how we operate.
"He is a local boy, has an excellent attitude and is keen to develop as a player and get better and better.
"He will give us more options in the midfield area as well as creating competition for places, which is important if we have any ambitions as a club of trying to break into the top five."
Wingers Aidan Cruickshank and Dylan Lawrence have also left Elgin and joined Lossiemouth for the remainder of the season.
