Nairn County boss Les Fridge was happy to earn the win at Strathspey.

ONE week after winning the Fosters League Cup, Nairn County recorded a 3-0 Highland League win at Strathspey Thistle on Saturday.

The result was all the more impressive as Les Fridge was without skipper David Hind and David Hannah, Wayne Mackintosh and Craig Campbell, who was suspended.

Nairn grabbed the lead on 38 minutes when Tony Low got on the end of a cross from Steven Mackay.

Low shot the visitors 2-0 ahead moments later when he was picked out by Gregg Main.

Terry Swinton rattled the woodwork for Strathspey after the break, but the scoring was completed by Mackay 12 minutes from time.

Nairn will now finish fifth if they beat Fort William at Claggan Park on Saturday.

In the weekend's other game, Wick Academy were 1-0 winners at home to Rothes.
