Nairn County duo are sent out on loan to rival Highland League club

NAIRN County have confirmed Sam Gordon and Ben Kelly have joined Forres Mechanics on loan until the end of the season.

Winger Gordon (24), came through Nairn’s youth development programme and debuted at the start of the 2021/22 season, making a total of 71 appearances for the club so far.

He has been restricted to just two starts this season and has scored four goals during his Nairn County career.

He scored the winner for Nairn County in the 5-4 win against Ross County in the North of Scotland Cup final in November.

Gordon made his debut for Forres Mechanics in the 4-1 win over Clachnacuddin on Wednesday night.

During his time at Nairn County he has made eight starts and 13 substitute appearances.
