NAIRN County have signed winger Horace Ormsby from fellow Highland League club Deveronvale.

The 28-year-old made his debut as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat against Brechin City at Station Park yesterday.

Ormsby arrived at Nairn having spent 18 months in Banff with Deveronvale after signing at the start of the 2022/23 season when he moved from England.

During his time at Deveronvale, Ormsby scored 10 goals in 34 appearances.

Nairn County manager Steven Mackay says he was huge admirer of Ormsby when he played at Deveronvale and is pleased to bring him to Nairn.

Mackay said: “Horace is a player who we have been pursuing for a while because of the qualities that he has.

“He is quick, strong, very direct and can score goals and we are delighted to be able to bring him to the football club.

“We have always maintained that we want to bring in the right type of players to Nairn – players who have a strong mentality and work ethic and want to develop their game. Horace certainly ticks all of the boxes and we are excited to work with him.”
