COLIN Montgomerie and three of his 2010 Ryder Cup stars will be competing for the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart next month.

Monty, along with Francesco Molinari, Miguel Angel Jiminez and Peter Hanson, steered Europe to glory in Wales two years ago and they are set to head to the Highlands for the July 12-15 competition.

This summer's line-up looks to be just as strong as when the stunning venue hosting the Scottish Open for the first time 11 months ago.

Reigning champion, and world number one, Luke Donald will be back, as will Padraig Harrington and Scottish aces Paul Lawrie and Martin Laird.

Louis Oosthuizen is added to the list, as is promising American Nick Watney, who hit only the third albatross in US Open history on Thursday in the opening round.

Also expected to be in action at the links course near Inverness are Andres Romero, Branden Grace, Rafael Cabrera-Bello, Aaron Baddeley, John Rollins, Nicolas Colsaerts, Fredrik Jacobson and Rich Beem.
