Inverness teenager runs fastest time in Scotland for age group

Inverness Harriers athlete Lois Macrae recorded the fastest time in Scotland over 800 metres at under-15 level with victory at the Adrian Callan Memorial 800 metres race.

The Millburn Academy pupil smashed the under-15 girls 800 metres club record with 2.14.57.

Her time also set a new Inverness Harriers under-17 club record of 2.14.57.

Earlier this year, Macrae won gold in the 1500 metres at the Scottish Schools Championship. It followed up previous wins in the 800 metres at the Scottish National Championship and the Under-13 Scottish National Cross Country Championship.
