Inverness have drawn their last three matches and failed to win their previous four games as they head to bottom of the table Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday.

Last weekend, Inverness came from behind to take the lead against Queen of the South, but were pegged back in a 2–2 draw at the Caledonian Stadium.

Caley Thistle remain in second place, four points behind leaders Arbroath with a game in hand.

But midfielder MacGregor says Inverness can’t continue to miss opportunities to pick up victories now they are in the second half of the campaign.

“It says a lot about the teams in the Championship that everyone can beat everyone and it shows there are no easy games which we knew already,” he said.

“But it is games like Queen of the South which we are trying to turn into three points instead of one.

“Every game we target three points, in this league we know on our day if we work hard and do the right things we are capable of winning most games.

“It is no different on Saturday, we are hoping to go down there and get three points.”

He added: “We know our last few games have been draws and we just want to get back to winning ways.

“Whether that is against Dunfermline or anyone else. We are focussing on ourselves.”

Despite Dunfermline Athletic being bottom of the league, Inverness have failed to beat the Pars this season.

A goalless draw at East End Park was followed by 2–1 defeat at the Caledonian Stadium in November.

MacGregor says their record against them this season won’t be in their heads when they take to the field, but they know they face a tough challenge.

“Dunfermline are a good side and they have good players as we know.

“They are towards the bottom of the league but that says nothing about their quality.

“They have got dangerous players who can hurt us on their day, we need to try it handle the best we can.”

MacGregor says the opportunity of being promoted with Inverness to the Premiership next season is something that is driving him on to succeed.

“You see teams winning leagues and think what an achievement it must be to go the whole season being the best team.

“But it will come down to the wire, you see how tight the top is and it will be like that until the end.”
