CALEY Thistle have today (Tuesday) secured ex-Scotland defender Kevin McNaughton on a one-year contract and Hearts midfielder Billy King on a one-year loan deal.

Former Aberdeen, Cardiff and Wigan stropper Kevin McNaugton (33), who has impressed on trial over the past week with Richie Foran's team, featured in games against Brora Rangers and Nairn County.

He has been joined at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium by 22-year-old King, who spent part of last term on loan at Rangers, has agreed to join Richie Foran's Highlanders until next summer.

King is a hard grafting middle man with an eye for goal and he bagged 14 in 95 games for the capital club, although this deal may signal the end of his chances at Tynecastle.

This takes the number of new faces at the Ladbrokes Premiership club to four, following winger Jake Mulraney, who came from Queens Park Rangers and striker Scott Boden, who arrived from Newport County.
